OK, this has been bugging me for quite some time, so I'll ask. Is there anyone out there who holds their breath on takeoff? I know it sounds silly, but I have noticed that on quite a few occasions I am red faced and don't exhale until I'm at least in a stable climb....Oh $hit wait, I forgot there are not that many Alaska pilots on this board. See what drunk posting gets ya!

To be perfectly honest...

...it depends on the captain.

We have one captain, I don't know what his problem is, I think he should see a gastro-intestinal specialist or something. I always hold my breath when I fly with him.

Once I threatened to depressurize the cabin unless he cease and desist.

No joy. I had to go on O2.

It's just plain rude if you ask me. They think it's funny.

It's not funny.
