Gleaned this from the company website this morning. Something in writing...

PILOTS

Employees: 1,485

Represented by: Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA)

Status: The contract comes open for amendment in May 2005, but the parties recently agreed to enter into negotiations earlier than May 2004, when they had been scheduled to exchange openers.

Outlook: Fifteen days of meetings have been scheduled between now and end of the year.

Guess we'll continue to standby and wait to standby some more.

We currently have four Side Letter Agreement TAs to vote on that will run concurrent with any new contract that is negotiated.

1. LAX co-terminal that will cover LAX, BUR, LGB, SNA and ONT. It specifies pay, rest, transportation and reserve. It also specifies that number of co-terminal lines that may be built in relation to the number of pilots/hard lines that are in base.

2. Elimination of an antiquetted 20 minute open time trading rule that goes back to the days before computers.

3. Clarification in current CBA language that more clearly defines that "last out" really means "last out" for check airmen picking up open time. They currently go to the top of the list and get trips before anyone else.

4. A commuter policy!
