Alaska April 7th Class

Anything new over at Alaska?
Anyone have any info on whether Alaska is still planning on running an April class and any after that?

I've been talking to someone very near the front office, and as of now there isn't anything planned past April, although I'm not exactly sure if that class is indeed going. Call ups have forced instructors into line spots at the moment. Once, again, not sure how accurate my info is. I can't focus quite this close as I'm just waiting for them to get through the remaining 30 people for interviews before I get (hopefully) called for the next batch of interviews.

If I could only get an interview, it would sure make planning easier....even if I have to wait 12 months for a class date, or worse (gulp!), find out I had better look elsewhere.

I interviewed in Jan '03 and was fortunate enough to be asked to join Alaska's team. Bonnie Carroll (current HR rep) called me 3 weeks ago asking if I was available for a class in April. Unfortunately I had to decline...my unit was activated and I've been busy flying in and out of the sand box. Good luck to all those still awaiting an interview date. Keep at it, they like committed individuals who will settle for nothing less than working for the best airline around. ~SeaSlam

April 7th class

According to the CP, there are 12 in the class. This will be the last class until Fall. They have a pool of hires for fall classes.
The April class, through the grapevine, will consist of 7 737's and 5 MD-80's with no knowledge of base assignments other than there will be some LAX and no ANC.

Nate and Norm? Is there a trend here? Dammit, they would have hired me but I didn't have a first name that started with "N".;-)
