Old School,

I heard that they are going to furlough half of the pilots on the seniority list. There will only be captain positions at ALK.

The right seats will be occupied by R2 units. R2 units are very versatile. They can record and play back video and they have a built-in Swiss Army knife. They'll be able to go outside and fix the airplane during their walk-arounds. So, mechanic positions will eventually be reduced.

So, don't worry, there will be no staffing issues.

Okay, I guess I've been up too long today and am getting tired. :)
