Doesn't matter. The GOVT wants competition. Once you compete, it will be evidence at a proposed merger hearing. Look at your merger with AA. Not much overlap except from your hubs to their hubs. Where you got hit was the number or percentage of flights TOGETHER at certain slotted airports, like DCA. To get approval, you had to deal. What other airports in the US have this type of hype? Maybe LGA and ORD. Any future mergers will probably have to give up some slots at any of those airports. Other than that, your airlines didn't have very much overlap.

I noticed Alaska is starting or started PHX to ANC recently. We do, I think, two flights daily on that route. Looks like Alaska is pissing in our pool too.
