Alaska Airlines questions

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone has heard of Alaska raising their minimums. I know they aren't accepting new apps right now, but I've had my stuff in with them for 2 1/2 years (a bullet originally, now sponsor). I'm currently working to meet their Turbine PIC mins (750 last I heard), but have heard a few rumors that the mins might be going up (say it ain't so, joe!). I realize that the realistic mins are much higher, but I'm just trying to take it one step at a time. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The minimums have not increased to my knowledge. Things are way more competitive though. You will definately need the 750 PIC turbine or more to get the call.
We are going to an online app. soon (NO MORE UPAS!). It will happen when we open the next hiring window. I don't know when that is though.

That, I do not know. They have not released all the facts about the web app.. Other than it will be out soon.

I think with most of these larger carriers, when and if they start hiring again, it will be back to square one as far as applications.

As you know from above, things are more competitive than they were and they will be looking at the pool of available people at the time it happens.
