My wife and I will be in Alaska in mid-July on a vacation. We'll spend a few days in both Anchorage and Fairbanks.

I'd like to take some kind of air tour in a GA type airplane or just rent a C182 with a CFI to show us around.

Can anyone recommend any good and not-too-unsafe operators for this kind of mission?

Thanks in advance.

K2 aviation has always enjoyed a good reputation. I wouldn't hesitate to put my wife on one of their planes. If you have the extra dough I would highly recommend paying for the package that actually includes landing on a glacier. It's nothing short of awe inspiring. Take a good digital camera with a really big data card. You'll take a ton of pictures. Don't forget your sunglasses either. Enjoy!
