Hopefully all of those brand new baby captains take a look at the contract and note what their pay rate would be and then compare that to what they will get under the arbitration award. A senior (ie quality of life)copilot at 85 hours vs a junior(on reserve forever, no quality of life)captain at 76 hours...The difference can be measured in 100's of dollars....Dont let being a captain take away the rage.......

Junior CA in ANC is about 8 years.
8 year F/O = $91.07 per hour X 85 hours = $7740.95
8 year CA = $141.12 per hour X 76 hours = $10,725.12
That is a gross increase of $2984.17
I would call that more than a few hundred dollars.
True - reserve stinks and QAL has a value so it is good that each man gets to pick his own poison.
I will never commute to reserve, others will, to each his own.
