Alaska jobs "usually" pay pretty good in comparison to Lower 48, at least the "working for a living" ones. Flying co-pilot on a Twin Otter or some other turbine logging operation out of Anchorage may not pay squat - the honor & privilege, happy hour opportunities, and of course fast food dining availability. :p
