I was flying to CHA the other day with one of our PDT union guys and he said Airways is about to furlough again. Is this true, or just more crewroom speculation?

The contract does not allow it, but that never stopped JCMD and his management team before.

Contracts???

Never stopped UAL from furloughing thousands (and still doing it) when their contract had "furlough protection."

We won our last grievance for our No Furlough Clause --that stopped the furloughs at 1060. Then came a long a nice WAR and 250 more were furloughed, but a grievance has been filed and we should hear something within 90 days. We should win this next greivance too because, as we all know, the war is over and the loads are absolutely back. I think the attitude of each airline's ALPA MEC is a big factor. USAir and UAL's MEC's were forced into a corner with Chap 11----and that unfortunately turned the favor towards each carriers management.

Bye Bye--General Lee:rolleyes:
