Just curious if anyone at Airtran knows how often HR goes through the resumes and how often do they interview? I realize things are probably slow with the holidays and all but I was just curious. Thanks.

I have heard from a very reliable source that there will be a small class either the end of Jan or in Feb. The flood gates should open up in March/April time frame (with the 737 coming in June/July).

Don't know when interviews will start again. I've heard there are 38 people in pool. That is roughly three or four classes. I have heard that we want to have a continuous supply of pilots (read pool) so that when flood gates do open, we have pilots ready to go to training immediately.

I have also heard that the two DFW gates that were originally going to be leased to Frontier (since AirTran wasn't going to get more 717's as soon as originally planned) will stay with AirTran. We will get those airplanes. This will make for a total of 4 DFW gates starting sometime in Jan.

Caveat: In this industry information from some of the most reliable sources is subject to change - literally overnight.

Hope this info helps a little.
