Common guys. Nobody wants anybodys managment team. Welcome to the airlines. All managment sucks! Its the way it has been, and the way it will always be. The only thing we can hope for is that any of our managment teams keep our airlines in business so we can all sit around and b1tch about how much we hate managment. Personally, Ill take AAI managment, at least then I know what I'm getting into, even if it still sucks! But I know a few guys at ALA who hate their management, a few at DAL, AMR, CAL, UAL, USAIR, UPS, and a couple others no name a few! As a matter of fact, I cant really think of anyone who likes their managment, with the exception of SWA. Welcome to the airlines...... Now, when do we strike?

Steve K. called....he wants his pool cleaned by tomorrow afternoon.

Tell me I'm wrong. If you think so, you haven't studied your history. I don't like it at all, but its true. Pilots have been fighting managment since the beginning. Its no different now. Just look at what Lorenzo did. This isn't anything new, and shouldn't be taken personally. Notice I asked when do we strike? Ill vote for a strike vote, and Ill walk in a heartbeat. Because in all honesty, thats what I think its gonna take. Our new wonderful ALPA should have already done a strike vote. Picketing ain't gonna do chit. Get a good solid 85%+ strike vote like the Alaska guys got and we might have some pull. Until then nothing is gonna happen, and why would it. AAI managment is gonna drag this out as long as they can. Its nothing personal, its just business. There is always going to be push/pull between managment and pilots, if you take it personally, then you probably shouldn't be in the airlines! Thats one of the reason Kolski hated Best. MB wouldn't let Kolskis tantrums get to him. Kolski uses those as a negotiating tool. Thats what pilots don't realize, and managment does. Trust me, its not personal to Kolski, its business! Like it or not!

Heh, heh. That's a good one, Wes.

"Yeah, get your a$$ over here. The lawn guys blew all the clippings into the pool."

I agree but add....

Good post/ points,

I am certainly no expert,

I would add that the picketing also serves as a message to the pilot group. [that] Their peers are serious and may go to the next level. Part of a strike vote will hinge on the individuals preparation for the event. With that being said, picketing is the warning order for further pilot action and a call for the individuals to get their "house in order" for such an event.

There shouldn't be any emotion attached; just cost benefit analysis.
