Wondering if anybody knows a contact number or fax for Airtran pilot recruitment. It seems that their email box is always full and I keep getting my resume "returned to sender" Also what are the competitive flight times to score an interview with them?

It seems the only way to get an interview with AirTran is to be recommended by an AirTran pilot. The last I heard is that they have 2000 resumes on file that have been recommended and this is the stack that they are calling from.

Competitive mins seem to be around 4000+ TT with turbine PIC and previous 121 captain experience.

Because when you are a EEOC compliant company AND are currently interviewing and hiring, you have a moral obligation to let the masses know that you are interviewing and hiring and give people a chance to put their resume in the hat, even if that hat is overfilled, and there MAY be no real current need for more resumes. It also keeps the pile moving (albeit very SLOWLY) because some of the resumes are underqualified, and you may get called 1-2 years from now.

Remember if they interview 20 people a month, and we have (for example only) 2000 "qualified" resumes in the recommended pile, it would take over 8 years to interview just THAT current group. We have more than that in the pile believe me.

As long as we are interviewing and hiring you will see advertisements letting people know and allowing them to submit resumes. This does not do anything to speed up that interview timeline as I described.

Welcome to the worst period of 121 employment that I'm aware of.

Alot of people I know who have interviewed in the past did NOT receive their packets before the interview date. Just explain this to them at the interview, (its real laid back) and you will fill out the paperwork when you get there.

Good luck, you'll do great!

Career Pilot,
If you are not already there, I called Greta and the packets are at the Diplomat Hotel, she delivered them there, see you at the interview.!!

Hey 717pilot!

I can't take your line... you're 7 numbers senior to me you b#stard! Hey, but I've gotten my #1 choice 2 months in a row now, and one of my top 5 choices since coming over from the -9. Life is good.

You and your family have a good holiday and I'll see you in a couple days.
