"So if you don't need to get there and don't really like your luggage, fly Delta; but when the trip matters and you really want to get to your final destination with your bags and a smile on your face, fly AirTran Airways," said Healy.

That is funny. Talk about egg on your face...ouch.

I don't know why our management did that. We were just asking to get eggs thrown at us. ASA lost 216,000 bags last year alone, and that counts for our numbers too. And it seems we do have an oversell problem, and when everyone shows up, we need to pay those extra people off--sometimes with $400-500 worth of free tickets. Grrrrreat.

More reasons not to give anymore back to management, they have not clue how to run a company or contain costs. I do not direct this comment soley at your company. This type of management is rampant in the industry.

I look at givebacks as a loan to the company ( an investment) to help the company. To see crap like this is why it won't make a difference wether the paycut is 15% or 20%.

One of the smartest things Bethune did at CAL in the mid 90s was to flush the entire management team and start fresh.

Good Luck Guys,

Frankly, I would not fly on either of these two airlines. For one, I would not buy a ticket on a bankrupt carrier, and I don't like the reputation of the other one. Enough said.

I'd ride Delta but I can't blame you Einstein.

Nobody cares what you think chuck....Worry about midwest express....We'll worry about DAL! Much like a neutered dog, you just don't get it!

Don't really have a dog in this thread. But, it is sad that Delta Airlines would even be mentioned in the same breath as a LLC. Sad state of affairs.
Did Delta's numbers include their commuters? As a former ASA guy I know how they treat their customers and figure they helped drag the numbers down.

Memtrash,

an LLC is a Limited Liability Corporation...With your great big Fedex paycheck..Buy a clue won't ya.

If your going to flame or try to flame someone or something you really should be accurate with your statements. Lest you look even more foolish than the argument that your trying to make. As far as me being jealous or envious...get real bro.

He probably meant LCC - Low Cost Carrier.

Besides the accident that happened 10 years ago when AirTran was a different company what "reputation" do you not like?

J41,

What aircraft is that in your avtar? It has the tail of a 717, but looks like it is the fuselage length of a Dc-9-10.

As opposed to an LLLC -- a Limited Liability Legacy Corporation.
