And it seems we do have an oversell problem, and when everyone shows up, we need to pay those extra people off--sometimes with $400-500 worth of free tickets. Grrrrreat.

More reasons not to give anymore back to management, they have not clue how to run a company or contain costs. I do not direct this comment soley at your company. This type of management is rampant in the industry.

I look at givebacks as a loan to the company ( an investment) to help the company. To see crap like this is why it won't make a difference wether the paycut is 15% or 20%.


One of the smartest things Bethune did at CAL in the mid 90s was to flush the entire management team and start fresh.

Don't really have a dog in this thread. But, it is sad that Delta Airlines would even be mentioned in the same breath as a LLC. Sad state of affairs.
Did Delta's numbers include their commuters? As a former ASA guy I know how they treat their customers and figure they helped drag the numbers down.
