Has AirTran's sim check/profile changed over the last two years? When I interviewed in late 2000, it was a desktop type sim with the easiest profile imaginable. Take off, climb at 250 to 3000', right 90°, another right for downwind, slow to 200 then descend to 2000, vectors to a raw data ILS and land. Another check captain was pulling gear and flaps during this time.

It's pretty expensive but well worth it. I don't think you could pass the interview without doing it. I'm sure it's been done but why risk it. The sim is really touchy and they go over the profile that Airtran will most likely give you. I think I remember the price being around $445.00. They knock a $100.00 off if you share your session. Good luck, I'm still waiting for them to give me the thumbs up or thumbs down, I did the interview last week.
