Retirement #s: (pardon the formatting) #s start in 2012
AAI: 1, 14, 19, 14, 24, 18, 19, 19, 2020: 18, 35, 28, 43, 51, 46, 68, 72, 65, 63, 2030: 78, 8, 84, 93, 105, 100, 38*
WN: 3, 129, 107, 140, 160, 148, 105, 133, 2020: 149, 176, 166, 188, 221, 240, 272, 278, 250, 239, 2030:, 222, 216, 209, 171, 186, 169, 65*

IOW, AAI is a young group of pilots. In the first 10 years after this age 65 pig is through the python, AAI will retire 181 pilots (10.9% of their list), WN will retire 1250 (21.5% of their list).

Note, the numbers may not be exact, if a guy is older than me (but junior), his number MAY not included. My MS Excel Kung Fo is not strong, so ...

* = then I retire

Edited: Looks like UALExpress answered while I was compiling my numbers; his AAI numbers are probably more accurate (though we are only off by 1s & 2s, here and there).

That's certainly a consideration in "career expectations."

I didn't realize it was so far skewed.

Gup

HEY PALS, it is even more skewed at DL/NWA. 2000 Capts left at Delta prior to the BK, and very few left at NWA. It apparently didn't matter much to the 3 arbitrators.

Regardless, ALL OF YOU ARE FANTASTIC. IT WILL ALL BE "BETTER" WHEN IT IS OVER. JUST KEEP SAYING THAT."IT WILL BE OK, IT WILL BE FINE." And if you have time today, try to do something nice to someone or something, like throwing old chicken McNuggets to the birds at the park. Heck, birds will eat anything. See ya!
