Just be patient a little bit longer. The reason that class dates keep changing is because manning models keep changing based on projected service requirements, arrival of new aircraft, and the completion of DC9 crew transition. As far as the DC9 crew transition is concerned we have just begun transitioning the final set of crews to the 717. We have just been informed in the training dept. that they have broken next months group into two classes (which is probably the reason for the latest new hire class cx. Also, as of yesterday they are not planning on having a new hire class until Feb. (All information is subject to change on a daily basis.) However, when new hire training does begin, it will begin slowly but then EXPLODE in April/May. We have been told that whatever training numbers that we have in July/August will be indicative of the amount of training that we can expect monthly for the next five years. 2004 projection is for 150-200 pilots.

As far as the status of pending interviews I don't have any information that I can offer you. I would suspect that the timing of the holiday's and your interview date is reason for the delay. If you are concerned give Greta a call (Only do this if you haven't heard anything in another two weeks).

Judging the January 2004 bid packets that just came out online, we are a bit overstaffed for this month. All but 1 reserve line have at least 18 days off for first officers. The one that doesn't have 18 days off or more is a graveyard shift. Looks like I'll be bidding reserve again for January and hitting the slopes a few more days longer than expected.

I have gotten it from a good source that the plan for now is to run a small class (whatever small is? - maybe 7 or 8) in February and then in March or April the flood gates will open. Keep the faith. It's just a matter of time. (a short time)

Oh Great! I'm #9 in the pool. I hope the plan changes again so I can get in by Feb. The company I'm working for now knows I'm leaving, so they aren't sending me to recurrent. I turn into a pumpkin in Feb.

While I'm here, can someone fill me in on how schedules work? How does reserve work and typically how many days are you off between trips? I going to commute out of EVV. Just curious how ASA is to commute on. We may move to ATL in the future, gonna see how it goes first.
