It's been a great week, Just found that I have a upcoming interview in Atlanta(started shooting resumes w/ a reference a year ago). I have searched this site and the Airtran site and still have a couple of questions:

What is the out of pocket expense each month for health and dental insurance for a crewmember and family living outside the state of GA?

Can someone give me details of the retirement plan?

Thanks In Advance

Well, the company provides a HMO and a PPO. The HMO is only available in major metro areas. The PPO is pretty expensive. The company pays 50% the first year and 60% after that for you and your dependents. I pay about $170. twice a month for the best package, which includes prescriptions at $5. for generics and $10. for call brands. It's very expensive coverage . . . it's also very good (at least the PPO, no experience w/the HMO).

The company-funded B fund will be at 10.5% soon, but I am on a skiing trip, not home, so i don't have access to that info, sorry (if you want to talk snow conditions in New England right now, hey, that I can help you with!).

I must say, if those are your biggest concerns right now, you must either have a very good job you're planning on leaving, or you have someone in your family w/ some major health care concerns. I hope it's the former.

AirtTran has been very good to me so far . . . I've made more and worked less than I had expected. When I came here, I left a job where my employer paid ALL of my health insurance premiums, so it was a bit of a shock, but I'd rather be here paying $350.+ per month than there paying $0. Hope your experience is the same. Good Luck.
