Just got the great news this week that I'm swimming in the Citrus Pool!!!!
Got some specific questions for the folks already there:
1. What are the out of pocket cost for health insurance each month for the better half and the kids?
2. How many Pay hours is normal on reserve? Can I plan on more than guarantee?
Can't wait to start!!!!!!!!

App,
Congrats on the call! Hope your enjoying your time while you're floating in the pool!

As far as out of pocket expenses for health insurance - depends on the coverage you want. There are basically 4 options ranging from a mediocre coverage HMO that starts at 135.34 x 2 monthly all the way up to a great coverage PPO that starts at 217.99 x 2 monthly. I thought all of the health insurance premiums were a little steep, so I am covered by my wife's health insurance. After your first year at FL the preimiums go down slightly. HMO coverage - 108.27 x 2 monthly PPO coverage 174.38 x 2 monthly.

As far as reserve pay goes. I've been on reserve since May and only once have I gone over guarantee. Right now it seems like we are way fat on FO's and once you near the monthly guarantee (70 hrs) crew scheduling cuts you off! Hope this info helps. Again, congratulations on getting the call. See you soon!
