Right with you there. She is not a good driver. Only took her 50 starts to get a win. I read that Japan was such a haul that several of the "good" drivers didn't even bother to show up.

I would venture a guess that this will be her only win. She is far more concerned about having a conditioner which makes her hair look just right than winning a stinking race.

Personally, I would love to see her try and switch to NASCAR-where the big money is. She would absolutely get her butt handed to her! Different type of racing, but they don't play nice-you can pull lots of stuff on people which doesn't work in open wheel racing. Just ask that idiot who married Ashley Judd. Bet he wishes he stayed where he was...

I am not saying that a woman can't be a good race car driver, but I am saying that when a really good one comes along, she probably will be much more concerned with DRIVING rather than looking like a damn princess all the time!

Not to bash the Airtran PILOTS (but rather their management), about 10 month ago during the Midwest hostile take over attempt (I was for the airtran takeover btw), didn't JL or BF (I forgot now) wished the oil will stay up at $80 or more so that some airlines go bankrupt and clear the way for Airtran to pickup gates and slots?

For those that thought it was stupid to put Danica on the side of a plane, where did you see the story? I saw video of the application process on ESPN on Sunday and ESPN 2 on Monday about 4-5 times. They obviously had the decal waiting and pounced at the right moment within hours of the race completion.

Free advertising. Sounds like marketing genious to me.

Well let's see, Airtran lost 35 mil. 1st quarter. United lost 500 mil. 1st quarter. Delta lost 6.4 billion!! 1st quarter. Bottom line is, it's a blood bath for all.

What's sad is that from what I read in the AJC this morning we (AAI) had growth of around 18%. Problem is our fuel cost went up 25%. Even I can do that math.

At least Anderson came out today and stated publicly that airlines need to raise their fares 15-20%. Couldn't agree more. He also stated that airlines have cut spending as much as they can in every conceivable area. Now it's time for the public to start sharing some of the pain that we all have been feeling for the last few years. About time.

BF Stated that we will curb our growth some more this year and sell off a few more 737s to improve our cash on hand position. While I personally hate to hear this because it means my time to upgrade just moved further away, at least I'll have a seat to upgrade too down the road.

The sky is certainly not falling here at Airtran. Every airline out there is in the same situation. Our numbers simply mirror the industry overall right now.

Concern? you bet. I hate to see my company lose money anytime. Panic? nah, not until I see our cash dwindling and guys being put on the street.
