Hi everyone,

I did my research and didn't find anything with regard to this question. Does Airtran have an open jumpseat policy or is it "on the list" only? I am with a scheduled part 135 carrier that is CASS but does not have an "official" agreement with Airtran. Thanks Guys!!

Must be listed in the gate agents system. I belive you have to have an agreement, but the gate agents will most likely jest look at CASS and let you on. Pilots do not have a list of agreements.

AirTran is Great to jump seat on. Can't say thank you enought to the employees at Airtran. My company have an agreement w/ them and we are also a member of CASS.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I almost didn't read this thread in fear it would be heading in a different direction.

I heard they charge the second jumpseater $2500 dollars to ride....;)

I ride AirTran twice a week CLT/BWI and have always been treated very well. Great to fly on.

I started to ride Airtran more and more often lately. I have always been offered business class either by the CA or by the FAs. I have been always treated very well. Twice Airtran pilots offered to ride the FA jumpseat so I can get on, and they got me on.

Not to mention that sitting in the front of the 717 is very sweet because it is quiet.
