From this Sunday's Atlanta paper.

AirTran Airways is currently accepting resumes and conducting interviews for First Officer Positions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Total time - 2500
Multi-engine, fixed wing - 500
An ATP certificate, or successful completion of the ATP written exam
Current First Class Medical certificate

Information on benefits for pilots.

How to Apply:
E-mail resume to [email protected].

Does anyone know if a LOR is mandatory?

What is the current upgrade time and CA pay?

Any plans for pushing West/larger A/C?

Right now I'm a CA at a large and stable regional, just contemplating jumping ship and wondering if Air Tran is a greener pasture.

The link above is a little outdated. Starting pay is 37.50 an hour and next year at this time second year pay would be 53.49. Upgrade is between 2-3 years. Average about 15 days off with about 88-90 hours of pay. I left Comair as a five year captain after the strike and have been pleased with my decision.

Citrus LOR's?

So what is the deal w/LOR's??? Have they been a big deal in the past?

LOR's have been a pretty big factor in the past, and I would venture to say that they are even more of a factor now considering the number of resume's on file. Good luck, it's a great place to be all things considered.

I have asked this before but did not get a response. How does Airtran contact you for an interview? Thanks
