Interview date: 21 Aug
Call: 2 Sep
Class: 30 Oct -- B717
I'd like to mention up front that I don't know anyone at AirTran. I did go to two Air Inc job fairs (Jul 02, Jan 03) and kept updating my resume with them. I know at least one other guy in my interview group who knew no one and didn't even go to a job fair, so it is possible...
Stayed at the Radisson: (404) 761-4000
Mention AirInc and get the $46 rate and free breakfast coupons. They have a free shuttle service to AirInc for the preps and for the interview. The shuttle was right on time going there, a little late going back.
I did both the interview and the sim prep at AirInc: 1-800-jet-jobs
The important thing is to do the sim prep because it is a little different, but no big deal after the prep.
Our interview date was an add-on so everyone got their application packages 2 days prior to the interview. I typed mine, some didn't.
The interview starts at 8:00am at AirInc. First the HR lady collected the paperwork. Application, passport, current medical, FAA certificate, and ID card. Then a group briefing with HR, and three captains.
Then everyone goes to the break room and gets called individually for 3 interviews and the sim. No hypothetical situations or technical questions, just relating your own experiences. Each interview is around 4 questions and the whole thing is over by noon. Check out www.aviationinterviews.com
The whole day was a positive experience and the AirTran people were great. I hope this helps someone...
