Additionally, the company unveiled a just-completed deal to acquire 10 daily slots at New York's La Guardia Airport and two at Washington Reagan National Airport from privately held ATA.
To top it off, Orlando-based AirTran has now eclipsed Southwest (LUV - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating) as the lowest cost major airline, says Morningstar analyst Marisa Thompson. "They overcame Southwest last year in terms of cost structure, and we've been impressed by their ability to continue lowering unit costs," she says. "The biggest headwind for all airlines is fuel costs, so they have to do everything they can."

LGA is one of our most profitable markets and we are now the lowest cost major airline. I have a feeling we will do well.

Good luck! You can have it. If I never see LGA again it will be too soon.

Yeah well no sh*t!!! It's all in pilot salaries.
1st year f.o. @ AirTran= $43 p/h 2nd year is $56
@ SWA it's $52 and $88
Look at 1st year Capt pay! @ AirTran it's $102 and @ SWA it's $174.
Hey, if you guys take a pay cut, AirTran will do even better and be careful, Skybust is trampin in your garden!! You may need to undercut them soon.

Like an NAA pilot should be talking about pilot salaries! $81/hr first year captain pay to fly a 767 or whatever you fly over there now. Top out at $123/hr after 12 years????!!!! FO pay only outpaces AirTran during the first year after that it is even second year and AirTran is higher than NAA until year 12 where it is even. So it looks like Skybus is trampin your garden sooner than AirTran's.

LGA-MCO-SJU starting in january
You heard it first on FI.

BTW, Delta, Jetblue, American, and Spirit have already been flying that same routing. Welcome to the club.

Bye Bye--General Lee

ok then, airtran is not for long ether since we just voted down the ta that would gave the top ca $180. But I guess you all ready new that.
why does it always have to become a pissing match on here.
