32LT10..... Wow... Your heavy drivers with twice to three times as many seats make more than an AAI 717/737 does an hour...Congratulations.. You truly are an idiot... I know, wanna compare reserve pay??? While your guys sitting on reserve are making minimum guarantee, the guys at AAI are getting pay on average 95 to 110 hrs of pay a month, when they are only flying maybe 60-70...Guys actually bid reserve because of the way the reserve pay works. Wanna know how it works.. Oh never mind, you just won't get it.. I will guarantee you, that on current contracts, in a 30 year carrier, an AAI driver will walk away with more money than a UAL driver that started his carrier at the same time.. But hell, what do I know, I'm not an economics major.... Oh wait, yes I was...... BTW... How many years do you have to be at UAL before you can hold a captain slot an an airplane that makes more per hour than at AAI?? And at that, how many years before you can hold a line on that airplane. I guarantee you, you don't want to get into a pissing match with me on this one...You will loose.....Feel free to P.M. me and I will explain it to you..

As to what to call a 3 year AAI pilot? Most likely you would call them furloughed from a major. Or someone that could not get hired at JetBlue.

I was not furloughed from a major, and could have been hired at JB - Had an interview offer coming. AirTran was definitely higher on my list of choices. Once I was hired by AirTran, I let my friend at JB know I was taking that offer so they didn't waste an interview slot on me.

Life is good here - I definitely made the right choice.
