I was just wondering if anyone can post some information on Airtrans contract. I searched all previous post and can't seem to find too much information. I just want to know what some of the good things are. I heard it's a pretty good contract, I just want to know as many details as I can. I start ground school pretty soon and I guess I'm just excited to find out some things. If you don't feel like posting some of the stuff online please PM me. Thanks

Here are some questions I have that I can think of right off the bat.

Is there a commuting policy?

How long is reserve call out?

How much is your pay if you work on a scheduled day off?

How many hours of credit do you get for a stand up?

What is the minimum days off a month?

How many hours are you guaranteed a month?

Tell me a little about trip and duty rigs. Our company never had these before so I'm a little in the dark on exactly what these are. I

Do you get 100% Deadhead pay?

Where do you think your next base will be? They told us possibly Orlando, PIT or BAL. What do the pilots think or what have they heard from reliable sources?

These are just a few things I came up, if you guys can ad any other cool things I can find out I would appreciate it. Thanks

Commuter policy-no

2hr reserve call out, long call is at company discression. Buildup lines have a mix of trips and possible reserve days.

Days off flying pays normal pay rate, involuntary flying (drafts, junior assignment) pays 150% although it is rarely needed. The contract allows you to refuse drafts or JA's for personal circumstances.

Trip rig 1 to 3.5, duty rig 1 to 2.5, minimum duty period pay 4hrs.

Max 12hr scheduled duty day

70 hr guarantee

100% deadhead pay

Retirement: Company paid B-fund (10.5% of gross pay) pilot funded 401k. Yearly stock option grants.

Small narrow body pay:
1st yr F/O around $40/hr, mid-upper $50's/hr second year.
junior capts are making around $105/hr, I've been here 5 1/2 years and make $120/hr. Top pay $150something after 12 years.

The 737-800 will pay 13% more than above rates.

21hrs pay per week of vacation.

Upgrades have historically been running 2-3 years.

Limitations on pilots flying standups. Max of 3 in a row followed by 3 calender days off. Regular line holders are no permitted to fly standups, reserves and standup line holders only. Some go pretty senior. After applying the rigs standups pay about 2-3hrs over block time.

Min. 10-11 days off for reserves, some reserve lines have up to 16 days off. Min 12 days off for lineholders,15-16 is pretty avg. Lines avg 85 hrs pay, 80 hrs of block time. Lots of guys make over 100hrs pay/month by working the system.

Schedule adjustment periods (SAP1 and SAP2) after bid awards allow for good schedule flexibility.

The company has found a few loop-holes in the contract and are using them to thier advantage.

Another crew base? Your guess is as good as mine.

There's alot more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I think you'll like it here, Ty Webb sure does.

Welcome aboard.
