I have had a couple of AirTran pilots take in my resume and spoke with the folks at the AirInc seminar in ATL. I have never gotten any confirmation that my resume was in the "short" (relatively speaking) stack. I called and left a voicemail with HR today but, not surprisingly, they did not call back. Does anyone have a # I could call to check my status. Feel free to PM me. Also, if any other Airtran pilot would be willing to help out my cause I will take all the inside help available.

Thanks

Tom

P.S. I'm also available for birthday parties, weddings, barmitzvahs, etc.

I think it was more like ONE "high time capatain" from another airline.....and I'm sure that they have had at least an equal number of low time upgrades give them an equal amount of uneasiness.

At least, that's what I hear from the outside.

TWA DUDE,
I hope you're still employed.
But if you're not, with your flight time, you should still have a good chance I think.

I am employed but for one more month. My info will be headed AirTran's way shortly.

That won't be a problem for me. In six and half years of airline flying I've only flown as captain for six months. ;)

call backs

AV8TOR

Give them some time. I called Greta Charles back in July and didn't really expect a call back. It took her a couple of days to do it, but she did! It really suprised me! There aren't many companies out there that will do that. I didn't ask her any questions about the status of my resume. I only asked her about interview plans. She was very nice. I'm now waiting for a call to come interview. Hopefully she calls again real soon!

Menace,

Thanks for the good word. Hopefully they'll call back soon. You are right about not many companies doing that. That seems to be one of several things they do a little different in a good way.

Good luck my friend!
