Just had a question regarding sending a resume to AirTran. I know they prefer them via email, but my current resume is in Microsoft Word. Is it ok to send an email to pilot recruitment with the resume attatched to the email, with the resume still in Word, or should it be changed to pdf file with acrobat? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also, if a resume is sent via hard copy or fax, does it need a cover letter or is that a waste of time for them with the volume of resumes?

Thanks Again!

One of the best features of this board is often the most overlooked- the "search feature. If you search under "AirTran" you will find some very good info.

As to your specific question- It seems that you need an AirTran pilot to turn your resume in in order to get into the stack that they are working out of, so I don't think it will really matter. Generally, though, I would always submit stuff in the most user-friendly way possible.

From what I hear, the people in the stack who have been getting the call to interview have been in there around a year. Wish I had better news.
