Just curious who usually goes to the AirInc Airfair to represent Airtran?

I hear it is a great way to get an interview; from what I've read here, it seems 6 mos to 1 year to get call after going to an Airfair (assuming you're lucky enough to get called at all!). Is that still holding true??

As always,
Thanks in Advance for all your great insights!

Some HR people and some pilots who help out with the process. I have a friend who is an FO who helped at the DFW Job Fair.

He was absolutely shocked at the number of pilots who showed up and stood in line. I believe he said that there were 10 employees there, and it took all day to meet with the 600 interested pilots who showed up to meet with them.

He said there were some furloughees from some of the majors who did not meet our published minimums, especially PIC time, in which case it was probably a waste of time for them to be standing in line.

I would recommend it, if you are a 121 PIC and meet all of the published minimums (I don't know what the numbers are, hopefully, they're published somewhere).

Good luck.
