Ya you're right, I was thinking of another show where they crashed a side by side version.

I stand by my comment though. It's on the internet because it happened. Would you have ever known other wise? It's not in poor taste, it's reality. If it had been set to some kind of music, or something f'd up like that, THAT would be in poor taste.

And no, as much as it pisses me off seeing video from the other side of our soldiers being killed, it being posted on the internet is not in poor taste, it's reality.

Kiddie porn is on the internet too.....

That's illegal though. Two totally different subjects. We won't even touch on the moral aspect of it.

Not trying to be belligerant, but I find the debate interesting.

While illegal, it is happening...or as you would say "reality" so therefore NOT in poor taste.

As much as I would like to feed your desire to debate (we could debate aircraft recognition skills ;)) I will end this here. I find posting a video of an airshow accident that depicts children who are cut in half in poor taste. I posted a video minus the gore and from different views. If the need to view dismembered bodies of children is acceptable, then rock on. Regardless of it being "reality" or "legal", it is has ZERO value. None..zip...nada, boo.....

I won't go to jail, or endure the disgust of pretty much 99% of the world population though for watching a video of an airshow crash though.

While hard to make an argument for showing things like that, sometimes people need to be reminded. Get people out of their little comfort bubble, make people think about others misfortune, make you greatful for your own.

By the way, I haven't watched it. I don't want or need to see it. I've seen enough of that stuff in my life/career, and am poised to see more.

I'd call that one hell of a strong reminder as to why we have such strict airshow rules regarding overflying crowds in the united states. I go to an annual flyin (the gathering of pilots that shouldn't be pilots I always call it) where there is always one or two dumbazzes that think it's fun to show off with different impromptu airshow routines that I know for damn sure have never been rehearsed and they do it within close proximity to the ignorant hordes that are watching and loving every minute of it. Maybe I ought to send them this link to remind them of whats possible even by pilots that are a hell of a lot more experienced then themselves.
Did anybody see the news report of the funny car that crashed into the crowd at (I believe) an NHRA get together a few days ago? I'm always amazed at how people never seem to realize just how close to danger they willingly put themselves for the sake of a better view. They need to put similar rules as airshows in place at funny car races.

I've been out since I posted this. Didn't see ANY "porn" on the original link I received because I have blockers.

As the original warning said, the link shows a graphic airshow crash. DID YOU FORGET THAT CAVEAT IN YOUR RUSH TO SEE IT? Nobody tricked you into clicking the link. You should admit your curiosity for wanting to see the graphic aftermath got you to click though. I'll bet you never read an NTSB report or listened to a CVR? Don't blame the video or the internet. Just turn off your computer and tv and nothing bad will ever happen to kids, pregnant moms, old people, or baby deer. And to compare it to kiddie porn?

A.) Graphic is not quite the word I would have used.

B.) As soon as I saw the first kid torn in half, I stopped it. Have you ever seen an airplane accident up close and personal? I have and I looked into the eyes of the man who met me at his wifes airplane. She was gone...

C.) I have seen the aftermath of friends dying. I have heard their voices on a CVR. I heard their last words.

D.) I know bad things happen. I have seen them happen. If you think showing it will somehow make it easier to deal with, then you need some help.

E.) What did you hope to gain by posting it?

F.) Go back and look at the context of my post concerning child porn and you will see that I was NOT comparing it to your post. If need be, I will get out the crayons for you.

G.) Next time you want to share something from your porn favorites, consider the audience.

Go back, and read the original post to see what I hoped to "gain" by posting this. I posted this in the military forums, and not the general aviation forums because there are fighter guys here who might be able to determine if both engines were running when this airplane crashed. I believe there have been at least two Russian fighters with engine failures at airshows that I know of. Now, if you were attempting to answer that question, all you needed to do was stop the video when the crash occurred. After the crash, the guy filming it runs about 1-2 minutes toward the crash site. That is the "aftermath" part I warned you about. You weren't required to watch that. You knew that was coming since I told you. And no I have never seen an airplane accident up close and personal, and I never want to. Is that the qualifier for being able to ask questions on aircraft accidents?
