Wow I'm stunned. She was a sweetheart and took the time to talk to everyone when I saw her at airshows. She was just about the only person I could stand when Discovery Wings WAS Discovery Wings and had the short "wingtips" segments.

Sad :(

It's a shame that we don't get to know some of our most wonderful aviators until it's too late. I wish I'd had the chance to get an hour of dual with Nancy in the Extra. My condolences to Peter, and all who knew her.

it cant be. this makes me sad. she was one of the kindest lady i had ever met. always a joy to be around and would instantly brighten up your day simply by her presence. this is a tragedy and she will sorely be missed. RIP Nancy

My introduction to the Extra 300 was with Nancy at the Baybridge airport in the summer of 1999. She had just lost her husband to cancer and was just getting back into instruction.

Her son was much younger then and now an orphan, I hope he has a good supporting extended family.

Nancy was a joy to fly with a good instructor and a very competent pilot. She will be missed. She loved to teach aerobatics and because of her I got more involved in it.

Was her son the announcer at that show?
