Out of curiosity and as a tool to send a possible complaint letter to MSP operations - what's the charge at various airports for employee parking as a commuter? It's $37 a month at MSP. The plus is that it's in a ramp so ones' vehicle is protected from the elements during the fun winters. The big minus is that it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the train station to wait sometimes another 10 minutes for the dang rail to show up to take a couple escalators up to another train and another couple walks to get the gate (total time from car to gate = 20 to 30 minutes).

There are worse airports to commute from. ORD isn't fun either. 20-30 minutes car-gate isn't excessive. I'm sure others can post their experiences. A $1/day is cheap compared to other airports. If you cannot afford $1/day, move.

HSV is nearly $500 a year to park in the employee lot. Billed quarterly.
