I'm thinking about organizing a fly-in/get together this summer in the Seattle area. I'm trying to see how much interest there would be from those in the area to attend. It would be held at our hangars at a very nice, large uncontrolled airport and of course, the emphasis is always on airplanes. The more, the better, but if you don't have one, a car (running preferred) would be adequate.

It would be a chance to finally meet/punch your fellow members and have a great time with some cool airplanes. We might even have a dunk tank for the Moderators (that means you too Eagleflip and FC) with proceeds going to some worthy FlightInfo cause.

Let me know what you think and if there is interest enough to justify the work, I'll start the planning.

Well, if there's going to be a drunk tank, then I'm in! Oh wait, I read that wrong.

I'll be there, but you won't really know who I am, because I'll be wearing a nametag that says, "Hi, My Name Is General Lee."

Of course, no one will believe that I ride bikes regularly or have a hot wife.

I don't own a plane, but I'd be game to JS out there and rent a car. Fire off the details and lets make it work!

How about 2 FlightInfo events? I live at 4N0. Our annual fly-in is August 19, but I would be glad to host a Flight Info fly-drive-in at another date. It's officially 2700' Turf, but unofficially, it is 3400 ft turf.

I think that's a great idea. I'll begin working on mine and if anybody wants to coordinate their own FlightInfo "face to face", then use this forum to talk it up and get the members turning out. It would be fun.

I'll start working on FlightInfoStock NW and let those interested know the when and the where.

Let me know where and when, I will ride my bike in. Kind of want to stay on the ground for a while. I would love to meet some members. I can't wait to see some guys wearing the T's

Would this be for any Flightinfo members? if so I'd try to come. I can probably get my hands on a Cirrus out of EUG if anyone else in the west central Oregon area is interested.

I'd be down for a right-coast or southern FlightInfoStock. It would HAVE to be somewhere with good BBQ!

Do it in the east! I just found this website but I love it! I'd come, but Seattle is too far for me!

Okay, so you are now in charge of the official east coast gathering.

Oh, I think it's a rule we have to wear out FI shirts:beer:

I'm out of MFR, not too far south of ya. A Cirrus would be fun!

If anyone is out of GEG (or SFF), let me know, maybe we could split the cost. I'm poor or maybe I'm just cheap. For whatever reason, I'm pretty sure I can't afford it on my own and driving all the way to Seattle is such a drag...

I know MFR well in fact our Cirrus is down there right now for maintenance. Keep in touch and I'll let you know if I can make it when a date is set.

Underpaid regional FO's maybe?

Seriously, I think the fly-in is a great idea! If the idea gets some momentum you may wanna post it in the other forums. ie. majors, regionals

I'd be up for it! My wife is from Vancouver, BC so it'd be a great excuse for her to visit her friends and relatives. I couldn't fly in, but jumpseating would be pretty easy.
