I know I know, ANOTHER low-time CFII asking about Airnet. Sorry! I have looked at all the old threads about Airnet and I have been to their webpage. All I am looking for is an update on their SIC program. I know things are slow there. Are they hiring anyone into the SIC program right now? If not, any word on when it will begin again? I looked at Flight Express but I am nowhere near the 135 mins to apply there.

Thanks for the help!

P.S. Screw Daley. I am so glad that GA has an organization like AOPA working for us!

I have a friend who went through class in mid-February; he had to wait until he hit 135 mins to attend training, even though he was from a school that had a bridge program. Unless things have changed within the past month, still no SIC program.

No SIC's till at least the end of the year.

I think its like the rest of the industry, with so many people out there with 135 mins and above, they have no need for any SICs.
think about it this way, Every SIC they have in class is taking away a spot that couild be filled with a PIC. They would be wasting there money to train and SIC and get little or nothing in return. that is my opinoin. believe me I know its frustrating.
Its frustrating at my level too, no one is leaving so no multi, and no movement. people have 25o hours multi and are getting no calls.

It depends where you choose to SIC. SIC's get checked out in the Baron and usually the Navajo. If you would SIC in BHM you would get the 310, because thats where they almost all are now.

asked and answered

Do a search, this has been asked and answered on numerous times and it is totally appropriate in the Airnet case.
