Where is the Navajo based?

I've got a friend who is 1800TT, 700 multi, 600ish is in the ho...

ORL is a piston base, and he wants to be closer to home.

could he get hired right into it?

As of now, Airnet does not hire into specific bases. The fact that he has pa31 time doesn't really matter either. When you get hired they put you where they need you and then train you on the equipment that is used on that run. If ORL isn't open when he's done training, it won't be available until the pilot there leaves.

When I left in Oct. there was rumor that they may begin to hire into bases but I think that was probably only for the less popular ones like PHL or TEB.

Do a search about airnet and airnet bases. It doesn't matter if you have navajo time or baron time or caravan time. Everyone takes a checkride in the baron. Then bases are awarded. You may get a run that is baron only, or a run that might be baron / navajo. Or a run that is van only, or a run that is all three. If you get a run in birmingham, you might get a 310. It all depends what is open the time you pass your 135 pic check. Everything is senority based, so when a fl run opens up it goes to the highest person who bid on it. You are allowed to lateral and when you lateral you are allowed to get trained in 1 different aircraft, if I remember correctly, they have you sign another 1 yr agreement though. Hope this helps.
