OMA is still a base is it not? One Caravan run.....2 legs, about 5 hours. OMA-APA-OMA

Sorry, forgot about that. I was thinking that Central AIr came in and took all of the routes out of there. They basically took all of the midwest runs they chartered out. That run uses the van out of Minny right? No aircraft based there?

It uses the Caravan from, I think, 608 out of STP. My buddy who is also from Denver flies that route out of OMA. I don't know how he does it? I would get bored flying two 2.5-3.0 hrs legs back to back. I guess that is why I love floating. I get variety every week.

two 2-2.5 hour legs back to back do get very boring. It is hard to do them and stay awake...then add in the other 5 legs that come to almost an hour each and you have a very long night. Those legs definately do not only happen in the props, they get longer in the jet. BUR-CMH, CMH-DEN and so on. At least we have someone else to help keep us awake though, so i guess we have that benefit.

But as far as keeping with the thread...I do not know too many of the bases...however, i can say that the chances are good that a newhire will get the North East somewhere, or a CMH spot. Both equally desireable.
