Freight flying is coming of age. Companies like Airnet and FedEx feeder operations are leading the way.
How about Ameriflight? Just curious about the different companies. I'd like to fly freight when I'm able and would like to find out the good and bad. All pretty much the same? Thanks

hey Haz-mat,
Cool avtar. I dont think my wife would let me do that with my kid.

USC... hehehe, yea he's a happy little kid!

Swimmin'

Anybody swimmin' in the pool at Airnet? If so when did you interview and how long have you been waiting?

No swimmers only sinkers

As far as I know there isn't much of a pool at this time. I know someone who interviewed a few weeks ago and was offered a class date two weeks later. Thats the same way it worked when I was hired.

haha....Nice...looks like he's starting early freightdog training....now all he has to learn is how to trim the baron perfect so he can read the articles (oh yeah...look at pictures too) when the autopilot is INOP.

Well, I got the call today from Craig and there is a pool. Although, he said I shouldn't be in there for too long. They cancelled the Oct. 1st class but have the Oct. 15th class full. Hopefully I will get the class at the end of October. We'll see. Thanks to everyone for all the information I can't wait to get started!

panampilot... Congrats, you'll be in class soon enough.

I believe Crag's going to be at the NBAA conference if you're in the area

Ameriflight is also one of the leading companies there, but I think they have their own issues there. In any case, that was the best and funnest flying I've done in my career.

I think V1Cutt nailed it when he said that one will be at the peak of their proficiency while flying for a place like Airnet, Ameriflight, and other reputable outfits. Some 135 outfits will turn you loose and pray you dont kill yourself in the process.

Well, it looks like the October 15th was cancelled and pushed back to the 29th of October. Kind of a bummer, I was hoping to be heading to Columbus by the end of the month.

How did you everyone handle groundschool? Was it pretty difficult or did you breeze right through? I heard they cover moving expenses for your first move. How does that work?

What did everyone do for food during groundschool? Can you get a fridge in your room and go to the grocery store for food?

I know this should be the least of my worries but I still want to be as prepared as possible. Thanks again.
