Ameriflight does direct deposit
Yes, but only about 30% of our work is bank-related. The other 70% is contract for DHL/UPS.

Why doesn't Airnet contract with DHL/UPS/Fedex, etc.? Wouldn't that make more sense than trying to rely on Express work to keep the company afloat?

I'd say that Ameriflight's equipment is cheaper to operate. Additionally, the profit margin on the DHL/UPS etc... is probably much lower. I'd also guess that Ameriflight's Metros, 1900s, Navajos, and 99s have more volume than AirNet's BE58s, Navajos, C208, C310s and Lears. Maybe if we had a lot more C208s itd be more practical. Who kows for sure though, maybe they just aren't looking at that option.

Just a friendly suggestion.....

If the Airnet pilots on this forum hate their company so much and think it's such an awful place with such horrible management and such deplorable pay and that the company is going down in flames, why not just go work somewhere else?

I didn't realize that anyboy in this thread was saying how much they hated the company!! Just thought people were pointing out some of the news. I for one think airnet is great, and truly hope that things don't get to a point where we have to lay off a bunch of pilots or close the doors all together.

Check 21 should have happend a long time ago. It's not like there was no warning. Diversification is good, and those outfits that have done that will do just fine. Those that didn't will fail.

More bank work since check 21?

Hey Guys,
I'm based in CPS, and since check 21 went into effect, I have noticed that there has been more bank work going through CPS both on my run and on the Jet, this is even taking into acount that it was the first of the month last week. In fact yesterday on one leg I had 150 lbs. more bank work over what I would have on a Monday that was the first of the month, and it wasn;t the first of the month, go figure. There seems to be more interesting express work that I have seen pass through, so I'm not that worried about what will happen.

My question(s)... What about Bank Air, Cherry Air and Flight Express?? You think AirNet would disappear before these companies? Bank Air isn't doing RVSM, so their operating cost might be higher. Cherry Air did RVSM however. Flight Express, I dont know anything about them really, other than they do have a few "Lab" runs.

stock price slides

The investors must have been a little surprised by the last press release since Airnet stock lost 25% of its value....from over $4.00/share to around $3.00, hope it comes back up..

rumor has it that we are trying to get the price down on the stock so that the investor who has been looking at airnet can buy up a lot at once. Mr. Goldman or Goldstein or whoever he is seems to be doing just that. Now my latest fear is what i heard recently about him, he buys up companies and then sells them off completely. Meaning he closes them down and sells the assets...which would go hand in hand with an impairment charge on the depreciation of the a/c, but PLEASE do not listen to me, these are just RUMORS that have been circulating and nothing certain or set in stone.

I LOVE RUMORS...especially the ones i will hear floating around the company next week because of what i just wrote here.... HEHEHEHEHE HAHAHAHAHA :D
