I just got a call from my girlfriend, waiting to fly back home from Miami to the West coast.

-Flight already delayed two hours from published take-off time

-Passengers board, and then a mechanical issue arises

-During the time it takes to trouble shoot and fix issues, the crew bags out and airline folks attempting to locate new crew

-Passengers have been on the plane over an hour, and are not let back to the terminal

-Very little word passed to folks on plane and no updates

-Still trying to locate crew...

Is the reputation that airlines have today really that undeserved?

Cheapskate passengers?

I think that the cost of an international and a cross-country ticket is anything but cheap.

If you compare the $ amount to the service provided by the airlines, to say, a massage... If I pay $90 for an hour long, relaxation massage, it would start with a punch to the face, the application of Ben Gay for massage oil, and end up with a kick to the nutz...

That might be about equal.

That was amazlingly well thought-out, extremely witty, and utterly brilliant. You, sir, are a genius. And I am not sarcastic.

they all suck, if the government didn't just help them out again and again they would all be out of biz. what ever happened to actually having a biz model that turned a profit?

Airlines are not a real business, they are pretenders
