O.K. So here's a complex question to which there is going to be no sure answer, only thoughts and opinions. Most people on this board give thoughtful answers, so here it goes.

There are two areas of concern that I have that could severely affect the price of oil, and our indusrty. 1, demand from China and India as well as oher industrial countries, and 2, possible new strict environmental regulations to curb global warming and the potential impact on prices that would have.

While these will no doubt impact our careers, one still has to wonder how airlines will meet rising demand for air travel in this environment. Obviously, mergers, the elimination of pensions, lower wages for flying larger planes, newer and more efficient airplanes, and new more efficient route structures will help. I still think theres a problem when you have rising demand for oil and flying at the same time, while there sooo much price pressure via the internet, etc.

So whats the answer, re-regulation, so sort of pricing floors, what? After all, you can only be low cost to a point.
