Yes they are....They have NEVER supported higher minimums....

There must be some logical explanation to this.
ALPA is all about safety, so they must know something that we don't.
Maybe reading about icing and instrument malfunctions really is better than actually experiencing it.

I'm sure patients would feel just fine knowing their doctor has never actually performed surgery, but took a class on it and once played it on a simulator.

those idiots in management need to raise the ticket price. problem solved.

dont worry there are still enough people that need to fly.

And you think that extra money will get passed down to the pilots? haha!

said airlines face the possibility that they won't be able to attract employees, particularly pilots,

He is right about this. I just ended my tenth month of unemployment. I took a warehouse job that pays more then any regional, weekends off, and I'm home every morning and night with my kids.

Until the pay is doubled, at a minimum, I won't even consider. Sorry.

Starting pay is less than your warehouse job....People take the job because of pay down the road and the seniority system...

What is your warehouse pay?

So the flow of pilots to regional airlines slows down because of a cost prohibitive tuition vs payback career structure (not to mention trying to get a loan for school) and because of retirements the majors will be asking for more pilots than ever before=majors doing more flying because the regionals will not be able to keep pilots. I do not think they will see the writing on the wall to increase wages and better work rules to keep their pilots
