I'm looking for a picture from airliners.net that shows an ASA EMB-120 retired to the desert with various components already robbed. The search function was no help (probably because other a/c are in the pic as well). If anybody has the link for the pic, I'd appreciate it.

Hey Typhoon, Thanks for the quick response, these are different than the screensaver I saw in DFW ops but non the less, these are just as sad. It was a good plane.

Oh wow.....for the amount of memories that I have of that airplane, those sure are sad pictures......

Those memories aren't related to StarvinCFI's "Finally" thread are they? We want details...

A fitting end for those junk heaps... ASA mgmt. was more than happy to give the EMB a first class retirement, fire truck washes and everything. The sad thing is, retiring Captains who have given the co. years of good service get sent packing with none of that....

e120flier, this might be the pic you're looking for:

There were a number of EMB-120s stored at Victorville CA, and a few of those have been broken up already.
Here are a few more pics with various ex-WestAir/UAX and ex-Mesa/USX E120s being broken up:

VCV is a rather sad place to visit...lots of cool stuff to look at, but it's depressing to see so many airplanes just baking in the sun. I was happy to have ferried 8 Brasilias out of VCV, 3 of which were ex-ASA ships (N126/127/130AM). Ship 127 went to Spain to haul freight, and 130 is sitting on the ramp in SGF with a new freighter conversion. Not sure what happened to 126.
