Looks it, but it reminds me of a buddy of mine who was flying Eagles out of Bitburg way back when. He did a low approach / fly-by and scratched up his drop tank (the belly one). That was fun to explain.

That picture's fake. Not even the Russians are that crazy.

Edit: Or Chinese, or whoever the hell that is. I think that thing is some kind of sensor pod of some kind. Rear facing radar or something. Fighter guys could tell us for sure.

I don't think it's fake, look at the fire department guys looking at it from a distance. My buddy that flew in the Thunderbirds used do low transitions all the time.

The plane is real, just the gear are airbrushed out, well thats my opinion

Why would the guy be flying with his refueling probe fully extended???

If it's a fake, it wasn't a matter of airbrushing the gear out, it was probably taken during an inflight refueling.

It seems rather interesting that both photos taken from two completely separate locations are attributed to the same photographer...

It's fake. The fast moving airplane and the background are both in sharp detail. Look at the attitude of the airplane. Don't you think it would have a little nose up attitude?

Both photos are not attributed to the same person.

What made me think earlier it was not real, was that the plane seemed to be about the height it would be as if its gear was extended, and that the small lettters on the outside of the intake were very sharp, compared to most pics of something going fast.

I am not so sure anymore it was fake, but if it is not, its a really good lens with really fast shutter speed.
