He was actually halfway stripped down and headed for the main gear well when he realized the airplane was landing....not taking off.... :D

When I posted it, it looked as if he was wearing only a trenchcoat along with shoes and socks....now that I look at it closer it would appear that he has shorts and a t-shirt of the same color.

But hopefully you can see where I was going with it.

How do you get that close to a runway and not get shot? What ever happened to "airport security"?

Is the TSA that involved in stopping all the CFI's in the country from teaching?

The picture caption states that it was taken at Moses Lake, WA(formerly Larson AFB). Moses Lake does not have any airline service, but it has a nice, big runway - and several smaller ones. Boeing does many of their test flights in that area, so they use that airport for touch and goes during their test flights.

The airport is uncontrolled, if I remember correctly....so chances are there is not even any real airport security.

...and that is why we ask questions :p

...the question still stands though...what was it two (?) times recently someone has jumped a fence and got to the landing gear of an airliner? WTF is going on?

Moses Lake is a Class D airport part time with Big Sky Airline service and Horizon Air used to go there. KAL used to train their pilots at this airport on their 747s. Don't know if they still do or not. Air force makes use of the airport for training with C5, C17, C141, etc. They have security. They also have 2 FBOs and Big Bend College so many students and such are there also.

Security of a Class B is completely different than at a Class D airport.
