Normal is for the 7 on 7 off schedule. $39K plus overtime and holiday pay the 1st year. Reserve is for the max 18 days per month reserve schedule. $46.2K 1st year. You're on reserve pay until completing training. Then (in most fleets anyway) you'll have a choice of bidding 7-7 or reserve. BTW, overtime and holiday pay average 10%-20% of base pay. Per Diem averages $570/month.

You can take those F/O pay numbers I gave you and add 5% per year up to year 5 then 3% per year after that. Five year base Captain's pay is $90K for 7-7 and $106.7K for reserve. It goes up very slowly after that.

Does he have trouble believing them because they are too low or too high in his opionion???? Either way they are real....
