The show will be on A&E. Definitely sounds interesting. I just saw a promo on this on TV Guide Channel yesterday, they said Southwest was the only airline that did not turn down A&Es offer to do the show.

I've been looking for something good to watch, considering every time I turn on DSC some stupid show called Monster Garage is on.

Dear god! Surley you jest! Monster Garage is one of the greatest shows ever filmed.

The only people who don't like it are women and gay guys (not that there is anything wrong with being gay).

Winning tools by creating kick a$$ rides is the shiznat!

Peace

There are plenty of people who don't like that show but still don't fit your demographic.

Even if you do like it, it would be nice if they put on a better variety like they used to, including aviation shows (aren't we all supposed to like those?), and shows more scientific, instead of the same thing over and over.

i'll say this...monster garage was the shiznat,
back when all they had was the money they were given and the occasional non-necesary to the project freebie (ie rims/tires to dress it up)
but it lost a lot of creedence when they started to get all kinds of important parts as 'freebies' from jegs (ie engine for wheelie ambulance, etc)....
then the show just became an hour long commercial for jegs parts supply

still watch it on occasion, it's just not quite as cool as it used to be, but still better than american chopper for the most part.

now Most Extreme Elimination Challenge (mXc) on spike TV that's a show lol
funny funny stuff, its amazing what kinda crazy crap those japanese will do for a game show.

and of course mail call on the history channel still rocks

Naah, I don't think they (bad guys)will get anymore from the show than they would riding along on a few flights. I'm already grimmacing from the cheese potential though.

I had the "crew" (one guy with a camcorder) on one of my flights a few months ago, following 3 old ladies going from SMF-LAX for their 100th HS reunion or something. I was not trying to get on camera (if you've seen me, you'll know why! ;) ), so I'm not sure if I'll be on the show.

It should be interesting to see how they edit the mundane world of air travel.......

One more hour til it's time to tune in. Hope it's good.

so what do we have so far, 5 minutes in....

stinky guy (why he signed the release to be online is beyond me, so now everyone knows he stinks)

drunk guy, lookin like an a5s

and angry mom playing the race card

can't imagine what the next 25 minutes will entail....

"Excuse me sir, some people have noticed a smell....I don't want to inconvenience other passengers with the whole smell issue..."

That was hilarious. But angry mom is a b**** and drunk man is just annoying.

A line from the promo: "We are now serving a flight-full of nuts."

I hope they show something (positive) about the pilots. BTW it's on for an hour, isn't it?

I am sorry, but so far this show sucks
I thought it would be about the workings of the airline, not a rolling commercial for SWA, the Wal Mart of aviation
reminds me of those shows local news networks ran right before christmas, "the stampede at Tall Oaks mall"

and the emphasis on gay F/As in the promos is a little too much

great publicity for SWA

I too was hoping this show would cover the inner workings of an airline showing the operations behind the scenes.

I mean come on people.... Lets "watch" a ramp agent walk a married couple to get their connecting flight on China Airlines!!

Parts are amusing though... but not anyway what I expected.

I liked the agent cutting patches off SWA uniforms to give the stinky guy something to wear. WTF? For some reason, I can't see that happening at AMR. Maybe it has to do with being on camera.

Some of these SWA employees seem like they would be fun to work with, but some of them seem truly crazy.

Southwest is no doubt a great place to fly for, but the people flying ON it are on par with Greyhound.

Suddenly cargo seems like more of a focus for me. ;)

a former Chicago Express pilot, now FO at SWA was followed for some closeups for the show. she will appear in segments including info about her upcoming wedding etc. because she is most junior and it makes a good story. i imagine it will be only one episode because it seems most of this show is about "crazy people" and how the nice but "wacky" CSA's work with them. i thought the show was nice but certainly not what i was expected and as of right now i hope it shows more variety in the many episodes left, or it will get old fast.

Relax

This show will be on A & E for nine consecutive Mondays, with different show material each Monday. There will be episodes that have stories in other areas beyond customer service. I liked the show. Thought is was pretty humorous. Their will be vignettes about pilots, management, ramp people, et al.

Well, after the first half hour of flipping from A&E to MTV to watch "Airline" and the Gauntlet, respectively, I concluded that the show was not what I expected. I was hoping, like most of you said, to see a deeper look into behind the scenes stuff, operations, and heaven forbid them show A single pilot. I think I saw two shots of the cockpit. I'm going to continute watching in the weeks to come only to see if they show something worth watching. The show did do a good job at illustrating what the ticket ladies do, and that not all F/A are what we expect! ...

"Well, it's quite obvious. I'm 35. I'm not married, and I'm a F/A. I can be as queer as I want to be." - The flaming F/A.

Anyways, a good effort, and hopefully it'll get better as it goes. We shall see...
