Airline pilot communications

I live in the Baltimore area and listen to ATC frequencies via the internet and scanner. In particular, I listen to BWI's frequencies. Since BWI is a hub for Southwest Airlines, I tend to listen to SWA pilots communicating with BWI ATC. Some of the Southwest pilots don't sound happy. I would think SWA pilots would be some of the happiest and up-beat pilots in the airline business.

You can't really tell how happy, sad, mad, etc pilots are by ATC transmissions.

We are unhappy......with the poor ATC control that goes on, slow down, speed up.....turn left for spacing.....the FAA (my opinion) does everything they can to slow things down....until the get their funding they have zero interest in making the system work better. In the Gov you can't get more money, people and equipment if there is not a problem. Delays are their bread and butter to better funding. Other than that we are a very happy group. Great place to work and alot of great people to work with.
