Alrighty, well, its usually on when im in bed so I have a habit of watching good old "Airline"

last night, I couldn't believe it. MDW shuts down departures for WX in the system. Im sure there were Tstorms everywhere but apparently not visible from the terminal. Enroute etc....cause Ive gotten ground delays even out of CGX for a storm 200 miles away.

Anyways, this irrate little **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**ing nerdy guy was throwing a fit and thank god they kicked him off the plane.
So this guy is cursing ticket agents at SWA because he can't see the storm and doesn't understand why they aren't flying. I just wanted to go smack this guy and say there are 218nm between MDW-STL. Do you possibly think that if they WX is good here, it may not be at the destination. **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** like that would just anger me.

Im sure there are many other threads out there, but for your captains and copilots and flight attendents and bag throwers etc....what is the dumbest thing ever said by a passenger or the most angy one ever made you. If i was at MDW with this guy I would have kicked his ass. Im glad he got thrown off and had to drive home.

A little knowledge is dangerous!

Passenger gets up as the plane is taking the runway. The flight attendants approach and require him to sit in his seat. He says, "don't let the plane take-off, the slats are not out". "Sir this is a DC9-10, it doesn't have slats."

What do you mean it's delayed???? I just talked to my wife in STL and she says there is not a cloud in the sky...............You're right sir we at the airlines just delay flights for no reason. If we are in a really good mood we cancel them all together. :D

My favorite was a passenger who was arguing with me at the gate. I had gone to the gate to update the passengers on the weather. You could see the t-storms through the windows, lightning, thunder was shaking the floors. This one businessman gets up and tells me that he's a platinum mediallion, he flies more than I do, and he knows it would be safe to take off.

Naahhh, it's more funner to get em up in the air after they have been badgering the hell out of you to go...that way when you are up there at flight idle trying to keep from topping out of your cleared block altitude and dodging attenuation shadows on the scope, you can look back there and smirk at them as they pass around a waste basket full of hurl.

I just saw Airline the other day when A&E was running some kind of marathon. What amazed me was the absolute stupidity and jacka$$edness of a lot of the people. It amazes me that some of these people are even able so survive at all in the real world. I think Darwin needs to crank things up and thin these people out.

I have a hard time watching this show. Everyone says that flying is stressful, but watching this show gives me more stress than actually flying. I have always had respect for those employees that have to deal with all these nuts.

Hello all,

Seems to me what the show "Airline" is teaching the public at large is if you whine enough and turn on the tears, you get whatever you want.

The episode with the sports team running amok on the plane killed me. They should have all been in jail, but SWA let all but one fly on the next flight.

Nu

After I watch this show I don't know who I feel more sorry for: the pathetic "let me tell you who I am drunks" or the SWA employees who have to deal with them.

Come on Darwin.
