I have read that if one is before airlines advertise for positions they first have to consider internal candidates. Recently I met a stewardess who is working on her ratings on the side - reason being - employment law which states- Any company wishing to recruit must first advertise internally for candidates.

I have heard that at some airlines they go by this rule and if you meet the minimums you aren't garunteed a job but are garunteed the interview call.

Firstly is there any truth to this?

stewardess- flight-attedant- air hostess - all the same. Some
politically correct- others they say not...

I'm about the most UNpolitically correct guy there is and I have to tell you it is NOT the same. When you get a little experience and have to work with them, then speak. Until then, just pray that you don't need an evacuation in a palne......
