do airlines that charter out for sporting events such as college football operate under part 135 or 121. And do companies such as vacation air operate under 135 or 121? I recently saw a vacation air 737 in columbia, mo. bringing in the team from bowling green.
Just curious.

Part 121 either Scheduled regs or Supplemental regs depending upon how the airline is certificated.

Sports team flights might also be under part 125. It would depend on the seating configuration of the aircraft and the contract.

Generally for on-demand type aircraft the cutoff for 135 is 30 passenger seats and/or a payload of 7,500 pounds.
